Session-man , soloist & clinician, endorser YAMAHA and Galli Strings, was born in Naples on June 11, 1973.
• Starts studying guitar at the age of 8 anni taking his first lessons from Raffaele Battimelli (leader of an Italian pop band called S-lips – LP “Arcobaleno”, 1982 – C.C.R.C.). At 16 starts playing gigs. At 18 studies with Gianni Tamburelli (a Hollywood G.I.T. graduated in 1989).
• From April ‘til September 1998 completes the “Professional Guitar Program” at G.I.T. (Musicians Institute – Hollywood, California).
• From 2001 to 2003 he’s the guitar player for the “PASSAPAROLA”(a Canale 5 – Mediaset – Program ) orchestra. At present he’s acting as session-man for Italian artists and doing guitar lessons and clinics all over Italy.
•During summer 2006 he was the guitarist in the band of a Rai 2 TV show called “Tintarella di Luna”. •Now he’s performing in the Nino D’Angelo Live tour 2007 ( www.ninodangelo.com ).
AS SOLOIST AND CLINICIAN On April 30, 2004, came out “Ovunque…Wherever!”, the first Andrea Palazzo solo CD, published and distributed by Azzurramusic label, and presented at Soave 2004 guitar festival .
• CD “NUOVAMENTE” : first italian self produced instrumental guitar compilation (10 tunes of 10 young guitar players all from Naples)
• On 2001 came out his first instructional video “Suonare nello stile di Joe Satriani” (2001, Playgame music). Also he wrote for “Chitarre” magazine (number 187 – September 2001, Musical examples on an article called “IL PALCO NUDO – SATRIANI, LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO by Stefano Tavernese).•His new issues with Playgame Music ( www.playgamemusic.com ) are: DVD “Suonare nello stile di Joe Satriani” (2004) ; Manuale + CD “Gli stili dei grandi chitarristi – Joe Satriani Style” (2006) ; DVD “L’orecchio Musicale” (2007). Collaborates with Guitar Club magazine with his own section dalled “Il Lickantropo” in which he analizes some licks of the main world rock guitarists.
• He does clinics especially about his instructional video, rock-fusion improvising, technique, rhythm and eartraining; also he‘s qualified for teaching YAMAHA method for electric guitar.
• He did the opening clinics at “SOAVE 2001”, “SOAVE 2002”, “SOAVE 2003”, “SOAVE 2004”, “SOAVE 2005”, “SOAVE 2006” , “SOAVE 2007” (Electric and acoustic guitar festival - X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI editions - Soave, VR - 2001, April 21 and 22; 2002, May 4 & 5; 2003, April 25, 26, 27; 2004, April 30, May 1 & 2; 2005,April 23, 24, 25; 2006, April 29, 30, May 1 ; 2007, April 28, 29, 30).
• He also performed at “Eddie Lang Jazz Festival” (2000 and 2001 editions) in Monteroduni (Isernia) with Pino Iodice (piano), Pietro Iodice (drums), Pippo Matino (bass), Stefano Sabatini (piano)
• He Performed at “RICORDANDO ALEX” (an Alex Baroni tribute on 2003, April 16 c/o “La Bavarese” discopub – Naples ).
• With Mariano Barba (Yamaha drums & UFIP cymbals endorser): a lot of sessions (Finizio, D.Sepe and others); demonstration at Bari Hi End ’97. With Rock-Fusion band “Mariano Barba E4” they played at: Rimini DISMA Music Show ’99 also with Daniele Di Gregorio (important vibraphone player); a show called “Uomini e Miti 2000”; Rimini DISMA MusicShow 2000 for YAMAHA, also with Christian Meyer (drummer for Elio e le storie tese), Luca Ravagni (keyboards player); European feast of music at Sound Expò 2001 (c/o Musical Box - Verona) again with Daniele Di Gregorio and also with Pepè Fiore (percussion player).
In March 2004 comes out the first “Mariano Barba E4” instrumental cd called “Break the glass!” (purchasable on this site).
• He was one of the guest teachers at Music Convention 2003 by Galleria della musica group and Centro musica Minale (2003, November 21 to 23 in Marigliano – Naples).
• Guest at Telethon evening from Televomero TV (Naples, 2004, December 18)
•Guest, as YAMAHA endorser, at Open Day Factory Outlet winter 2005, summer and winter 2006 c/o La Cicala The Music Store, at Music Convention 2006 (by Galleria della musica group and Centro musica Minale, 2006 March 22 and 23,Marigliano – Naples) and at the Opening of “The Music Store” by Di Marco Fernando (Silvi Marina – Teramo) . •Guest at “CBE Genova 2006” ( www.cbegenova.it ).
